I WILL RANT YOU DOWN
Skip this post, it's just me blabbering, ranting, rambling...*sigh*
I was ecstatic when i got promoted in our publication for this school year. I thought my responsibilities would be lighter than when i used to be a simple writer. But hell no, the cliche, the greater the power the more responsibility (or something to that effect) held true.
My current position has been consuming my energy, money, and effort. I manage papers for publication payment, staff honoraria, print of whatever needs to be inked, reservation for whatever needs to be reserved, and information dissemination of members aside from the usual paper trails, legworks, and revision of papers writers need to go to. Whew.
And oh, add porter (read: taga-buhat) as one of my job descriptions.
Do i sound like i don't like my current job? Nah.
It's just that i would rather be a plain writer than take any other higher position. *sigh again*
But since this is given to me, i have no choice (haha) but to do my job. Imma do it well and nail it!
I think i need to hit the sack. I need energy!

books, bow
I rarely or don’t buy at all Filipino pocketbooks for two reasons: I have this stigma that local novels are corny and passé because I can’t help but associate them with Martha Cecilia’s novels. Second, i grew up reading English novels. I remember back in grade school, we have a DEAR—drop everything and read—time wherein we should read anything. And i don’t remember having read any Filipino written books back then.
Today, I am trying to read Filipino novels/comics.
Thanks to PDI, I ended up buying and collecting Manix Abrera’s Kiko Machine. His comics are witty and funny.
Last year, I bought Eros Atalia’s Ligo na U, Lapit na Me, not because he is going to be our professor for this semester but I think his book is worthy of trying. Too bad, we were not able to watch it as a Cinemalaya entry. Tss.
Because of sir’s wit, I ended up buying his other book—Peksman (mamatay ka man) Nagsisinungaling Ako.
My love for English novels on one hand has not changed, in fact I have four more books to read.

pick-me-upper
It's only almost August and my energy seems not enough to last the remaining months of my senior year. BAD.
Anyway, here are some of my "energy booster" items from polyvore.com.Seeing them brings back my energy!

Ethics.
An ethical person must know when and how to concede and accept his defeat.
Today, i 'experienced' *nepotism right before my very eyes.
Nepotism, according to online dictionary is the "patronage bestowed or favoritism shown on the basis of family relationship."
Okay that's it. HAHA! I would not name names and tell you the whole story ( since i know, you're not that interested, yes?) My mouth is too sealed in the first place to blab about the subject.
P.S. Blood may be thicker than water, but man must know when to use that cliche.
This post may sound too preachy, sorry it couldn't be helped.

ideal guy
This post is so random and obscure that I was able to connect The Flame recruitment exam we had today (which was successful, btw) to my ideal guy. LOL.
Girls would usually answer—tall, dark and handsome—whenever asked about their boy choice.
My preference however, is so unpredictable that i found myself crushing on artsy and rocker-ish boys then would moved on with the boy-next-door then to nerdy and lanky the next day.
Their appearances may vary but I noticed that their common denominator would be brains. Wait, don’t give me that look now. I didn’t mean he should have a superior I.Q. or whatever. Don’t get me wrong.
What I meant was I have a thing for crafty, gifted and sensible guys. I don’t care how he looks as long as he has something witty and sane to say or do. Let me get things clear—digging someone starts from the superficial but sustaining the feelings emanates from his personality.
See, I have this thing for multi-talented guys. I love men who can be an artist/dancer/musician/writer/photographer/singer all rolled into one. Kidding! As long as he utilizes his interests and talents, that is fine with me.
For the sake of connecting my liking for ‘brainy boys’ to the exam we had, I saw my crush (yihee) ‘auditioned’ for the Flame. My fondness for him intensified (nakanaman!) because he put his ability to write into a good use. To you my crush, ipapasa kita. LOL. Kidding. We don’t see the names of the applicants.

exit interview
I always find myself happy whenever miss guidance counselor visits our room because her stopover means commercial break from our boring subject.
But the one we had last Wednesday was different because it was her last (awww) round visit. Suddenly, her call in reminded me that I am a few steps away from graduating.
Graduation—even the word itself sounds intimidating. It gives me mixed emotion of happiness and melancholy *play emo-ish background music here* Serioulsy.
What comes after graduation? I don’t know. Nobody knows.
What is certain though is that I am a few pace away from graduating and I should be making the most of my time, yes?

sarap mong...
I am super busy but I really have to blog this one out, or else… urgh!
Context: The Flame is looking for new writers and artist and I am the contact person. Requirements include a resume, registration and application forms.
A contact person must be approachable and amiable but how do one deal with stupid questions?
Stupid-est and weirdest questions I’ve heard (mostly from the freshies):
What is a resume?
*it’s actually a kind of kakanin
What info should I include in my resume?
*your favorite color, perhaps?
Where can I get a resume?
*in your dreams
May fee po ba ang exam? Should I wear my uniform? Should I photocopy my resume? (No I’m not making these up, pakita ko pa sa’yo texts nila)
Ang sarap sagutin ng pabalang o kaya murahin!!!
#%^$^&@%$^ lang!
Pero, sayang lang sa load eh. Might as well ignore them. Please, be sensible naman of your questions. Thank you very much.

i can relate
Is tumblr coeval with reblog? I don't know because i don't have one and I'm not planning to get one. Most of the blogs i check contain reblogged items from other users and they call it their diary, eh bakit puro reblog lang? Walang item of your own. Masaya nga naman kasing magreblog especially when you can relate to them:
